The David Fraser Radiology Research Foundation is a Nova Scotian charitable organization funded solely from private and corporate donations.
The principal goal of the Foundation is to develop research activities in medically related fields with emphasis on application to the broad field of radiology in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University.
“I was extremely grateful to learn that I was the recipient of this research grant. Studying medicine and conducting clinical research is an amazing opportunity, but it can be difficult and stressful at times. Receiving the grant relieves financial stress, allowing me to dedicate more time to my research rather than pursuing part-time employment. I learned a lot about the process of applying for research grants, conducting clinical research, study design and troubleshooting issues and delays. The clinical research skills I have gained will allow me to continue to pursue research as a resident and physician. Receiving this grant is a great accomplishment and will positively affect my future career as a physician.”
