Dr. David Fraser

The Radiology Research Foundation was established in 1983 under the Chairmanship of Dr. David Fraser with the goals of developing the research activity of the Dalhousie Department of Diagnostic Radiology and increasing collaboration with other well-established research programs. In 2020, in recognition of Dr. David Fraser as the driving force behind its establishment, the Foundation was renamed the David Fraser Radiology Research Foundation.

The Foundation accomplishes its objectives through a number of programs, including:

  • Salary support for a Department of Diagnostic Radiology Research Associate

  • Summer Studentship Research Awards

  • Student Conference Travel Funding Awards

  • Support for Open Access publication fees for residents and faculty members

  • The lease of institutional laptops to support network access for learners

Today the Foundation’s primary source of income is through donations from practising radiologists.

Potential supporters are asked to contact the foundation though the Chair’s office.
